Aref Ali Al Nuaimi serves as the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Hyderabad. He has built a distinguished diplomatic and professional career spanning several decades, with extensive experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE's diplomatic missions abroad.
He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995 and began his diplomatic career at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Tehran, where he served from 1997 to 2001. He was subsequently posted to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Sana'a from 2001 to 2005. Upon returning to the Ministry's headquarters, he served as Head of the Diplomats Section in the Human Resources Department from 2009 to 2012.
In 2012, he established the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Djibouti and was appointed as its first Consul General. He later returned to the Ministry's headquarters, serving as Director of the Human Resources Department from 2014 to 2016, before being appointed Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Jeddah, a position he held from 2016 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he served as an Adviser in the Diplomatic Affairs Department. In 2022, he established the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Hyderabad and has served as Consul General ever since.
