His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, received His Excellency Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in the region, and discussed with him the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Republic of Iraq, especially the Kurdistan Region. During the meeting that took place at the presidential headquarters, His Excellency the Consul General of the State conveyed to His Excellency the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and stressed the endeavor to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation relations in all fields.
During the meeting, His Excellency delivered an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to visit the country and participate in the World Climate Summit.
For his part, the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region expressed his thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” praising the distinguished relations between the UAE, Iraq and the region, and asked to convey his greetings to the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates.
