His Excellency Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the UAE attended the graduation ceremony of a new batch of students from the American University in Dohuk in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The ceremony took place in the presence of His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, His Excellency Muhammad al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, His Excellency Masrour Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and a group of senior officials, politicians, academics and community dignitaries.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, His Excellency the Consul General of UAE, during which he met with a number of attendees, emphasized the distinguished relations of the United Arab Emirates with Iraq, especially the Kurdistan Region. The possibility of cooperation between UAE universities and the universities of the region was discussed, as well as the conclusion of partnerships and agreements that would reflect on relations.
