The Chargé d'Affairs of the UAE Embassy in Damascus, Mr. Abdul Hakeem Alnuaimi, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Syria, received Mr. Nicholas Protonotarios, and the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in Syria and the region.
During the meeting, Mr. Protonotarios expressed his country's aspiration for continued cooperation with the Arab Gulf states, particularly the UAE, and hoped for the continuation of bilateral meetings between representatives of the two missions in Damascus.
The meeting between the two parties touched on the negative effects of economic sanctions on the Syrian people, and in this context, Mr. Al-Nuaimi gave an explanation to his guest about the humanitarian and medical assistance provided by the Emirates Red Crescent to the Syrian people through the Syrian Red Crescent Authority, especially those related to them in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
