Authorities, executives, specialists and representatives of entities from the Arab world and other countries participated in the Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries that the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce promoted between October 19 and 22, on a virtual basis. The central theme of the meeting was “The Future is Now”.
At the opening of the event, together with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, the secretary general of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and the dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Brazil, Ibrahim Alzeben, spoke.
Representing the United Arab Emirates, the event was attended by the Minister of Food Security of the United Arab Emirates, Her Excellency Mariam bint Saeed Hareb Almheiri, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Ahmed Al Sayegh, and the Director of International Offices at the Dubai Chamber, Omar Khan.
The event had 10,000 people watching and had 20 hours of broadcast in three languages. In addition to the plenary with debates, there was an exhibition on a 3D platform, which featured Arab and Brazilian companies as exhibitors, with 2,300 visitors and in which hundreds of meetings were scheduled.
