UAE Allocates USD 8 Million to Support Chad in Addressing the Humanitarian Impact of El Niño
Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates, through the UAE Aid Agency, allocated USD 8 million to support the Republic of Chad in addressing the El Niño climate phenomenon and its humanitarian repercussions.
The support aims to help address food security challenges, reduce the risks of hunger and malnutrition, and strengthen the ability of the most vulnerable communities to cope with the effects of climate-related pressures and declining livelihoods.
The UAE Aid Agency affirmed the UAE’s continued efforts to respond to disasters and humanitarian crises linked to climate phenomena and to support affected communities in strengthening their resilience.
