His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries during a phone call. They also discussed their mutual commitment to further strengthening this partnership to serve their common interests.
The two leaders also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern and exchanged views on them. Foremost among these were the developments in the Middle East and the efforts being made to promote stability, security, and regional peace for the benefit of all the region's peoples and nations.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, met with His Excellency Alexander Alimov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in various areas of mutual interest, reflecting the depth of the growing partnership between the two countries and their shared commitment to elevating it to broader horizons in service of their common interests.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen coordination and consultation on regional and international issues, and to intensify cooperation in international forums and organizations, contributing to efforts aimed at promoting security and stability and consolidating the principles of international cooperation, based on the two countries' shared vision on a number of issues of common interest.

Saeed Hamad Al-Ghafli, Head of the Economic Affairs Department of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Russian Federation, attended the graduation ceremony for the first cohort of the joint engineering program between Khalifa University and Moscow Aviation Institute, marking the first joint academic program between the two countries in the field of aeronautical and space engineering.
Speaking at the ceremony, he emphasized that this program reflects the UAE's commitment to developing academic and scientific cooperation with the Russian Federation, training highly qualified national personnel for the industries of the future, and promoting innovation and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
A UAE delegation held meetings with a group of Russian government ministers in St. Petersburg
On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held from June 3 to 6, 2026, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Russian Federation organized a series of bilateral meetings.
The UAE delegation, led by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, held meetings with several Russian government ministers, including Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Transport Andrei Nikitin, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, and Minister of Sport Mikhail Degtyarev. Meetings were also held with representatives of public and private organizations. The main objective of the talks was to discuss prospects for the further development of economic and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The meetings were also attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Al Jaber, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, Ms. Maitha Al Saleh, Senior Trade and Economic Specialist at the Embassy, and Ms. Hamda Al Shaijee, Senior Political Affairs Specialist at the Embassy.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed discusses Ukraine crisis and energy market developments with Russian President
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, discussed by phone with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, a number of regional and international issues, in the context of wider discussions which included earlier calls with the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and the French President, Emmanuel Macron.
During the call, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was briefed about the latest developments. The bilateral relations between the two countries and the energy market developments in light of Russian cooperation with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and the importance to maintain the energy market stability were also discussed.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed was also briefed by the Russian President on the developments in Ukraine. Sheikh Mohamed stressed on the need for a peaceful solution to the crisis in a way that maintains the interests and national security of all parties.
His Highness emphasised that the UAE will continue its coordinations with the concerned parties in order to help find a sustainable political solution to the ongoing crisis.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the death of Mikhail Gorbachev, the former Soviet president.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also dispatched a similar message of condolences to President Putin.
UAE Ambassador meets Moscow City Government Minister
Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, has met with Sergei Cheryomin, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations.
During the meeting, which took place in the headquarters of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two sides discussed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop mutual cooperation in all fields, especially the economic and investment sectors.
Al Jaber also attended a meeting on the sidelines of the third session of the UAE-Russian Business Forum. The meeting discussed various ways of developing bilateral economic relations, enhancing the level of cooperation in the field of tourism, and opening new investment channels between the two countries.
Certificate of Appreciation for the UAE Ambassador in Moscow from the Russian Security Council
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, received a certificate of thanks and appreciation from the Russian Security Council handed to him by His Excellency Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Council, in honor of his efforts that contributed to strengthening the close Emirati-Russian friendship. Patrushev valued these efforts and discussed with Al Jaber ways to develop them.

UAE-Russia Business Council explores fostering tourism ties
The UAE-Russian Business Forum has held its third session at the headquarters of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Russian capital, Moscow, as part of the visit of an Emirati delegation led by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the cities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
The visit, which will continue until 12th September, aims to enhance the level of economic and trade cooperation and mutual investment between the Emirate of Sharjah and the Republic of Russia, as part of the growing relations between the UAE and Russia across various domains.
The forum - held virtually - was attended by Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and SMEs; Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia; Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Vice-Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the UAE-Russia Business Council and head of the delegation; Sergey Gorkov, Chairman of Russia-UAE Business Council, among other senior officials from both sides.
Dr. Al Falasi said that this meeting reflects the close interaction between the business communities in both countries and their desire to boost economic ties, pointing out that the UAE is one of the main destinations for Russian tourists as a result of the various facilities and benefits provided by the state. "This is shown in the steady increase in the number of tourist trips, which affirms the strength and size of relations between the two countries."
He added that such meetings will contribute to raising tourism cooperation during the coming period, noting that the precautionary measures and the pioneering steps taken by the UAE thanks to the visions and directives of its leadership, in terms of daily tests and vaccination campaigns for the country’s citizens, residents and visitors have greatly contributed to accelerating the recovery of the tourism sector in the UAE.
Dr. Al Falasi hoped that this meeting would positively serve the aspirations of both countries in all fields, especially in the field of tourism.
Al Owais, in turn, stressed that the UAE-Russia Business Council plays an active role in developing economic and investment trade cooperation, strengthening ties between participants, and opening new investment channels. This will help to promote diversification of income sources, attract value-added investments to the economy, and increase the volume of non-oil exports.
He pointed out that the volume of trade exchange between the UAE and Russia has grown significantly in recent years, as Russia ranked first among the UAE's trading partners in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, while the UAE maintained its position as Russia's main trading partner in the Arabian Gulf. The UAE's exports amounted to about AED28 million in 2021, and about AED55 billion in trade exchange between the two countries from 2015 to 2020.
Al Owais highlighted the capabilities and potential of the business sector in the country, which is characterised by economic and commercial openness to the world and the availability of an encouraging investment environment for Russian capital and companies, pointing out that Russian industries will find encouraging demand in the UAE market, especially with the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai in October.
The UAE Ambassador stated that Russia has become a preferred destination for Emirati tourism, and many elements make the two countries able to develop relations in this sector and push them forward to serve their common interests.
Gorkov said that the forum is a continuation of the previous meetings that took place in the UAE, which aimed to strengthen partnership in the economic fields, hoping that the visit of the Emirati delegation would achieve the desired goals and contribute to building strategic relations that strengthen vital economic partnerships, including the tourism, investment, trade, innovation and advanced technology sectors.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (may Allah protect him), arrived in Moscow today on an official visit to the Russian Federation. Upon entering Russian airspace, His Highness was escorted by a squadron of military aircraft as a sign of greeting and honor.
During the visit, His Highness held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the parties discussed the strategic partnership between the UAE and Russia, as well as the further development of cooperation, particularly in the areas of innovation, energy, sustainable development, space, culture, and other areas that contribute to joint development.
His Highness emphasized that the UAE will continue to strengthen development partnerships for the benefit of the people of the country and the world, and will support all efforts aimed at strengthening regional and global peace and resolving conflicts through dialogue in the interests of all parties.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a congratulatory message to President Vladimir Putin of Russia on his country's Independence Day celebrations, otherwise known as 'Russia Day'.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also sent similar messages to the President Putin and to Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Russia.
