Her Excellency Dr. Nariman Al Mulla, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia, received Mr. Hovsep Patvakanyan, head of the Investment Council of Armenia. The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of investment, reviewed promising investment opportunities in the Republic of Armenia, and explored mechanisms for supporting partnerships between the business communities of both countries.
During the meeting, Her Excellency the Ambassador affirmed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen economic and investment cooperation with the Republic of Armenia, in light of the continuous development witnessed in bilateral relations. She noted the importance of encouraging direct communication between investors and members of the business community in both countries, contributing to attracting more high-quality investments, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening the economic partnership between the two sides.
The meeting came as part of preparations for the International Trade and Investment Forum (ITIF2026), scheduled to be held in Yerevan, in October 2026. The two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation and coordination to enhance the participation of UAE entities in the forum, and to make use of this international platform to expand economic and investment partnerships between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Armenia.
The Investment Council of Armenia operates under the umbrella of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with support from the UK Government’s Good Governance Fund, and works to support the reform of the business and investment environment in Armenia through legislative development and strengthening public-private sector partnership.
