His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, held a meeting with His Excellency Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, Governor of the Samara Region, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was held in St. Petersburg from 3 to 6 June 2026.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the economic and investment potential of the Samara Region and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the region in a number of sectors of mutual interest, particularly industry, agriculture, and education, in a manner that supports economic partnerships and opens new horizons for cooperation and investment between the two sides.

The meeting also addressed opportunities for cooperation with Emirati institutions and companies and explored promising projects that would enhance trade and investment exchange and achieve shared interests.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) and Abu Dhabi Capital, in addition to Ms. Meitha Al Saleh, Senior Economic and Commercial Affairs Specialist at the Mission, and Ms. Hamda Al Shayji, Senior Political Affairs Specialist at the Mission.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, held a meeting with His Excellency Alexey Russkikh, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held in St. Petersburg from 3 to 6 June 2026.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the economic and investment potential of the Ulyanovsk Region and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the region in a number of sectors of mutual interest, including industry, agriculture, and transport, in a manner that contributes to strengthening economic relations and expanding the horizons of partnership between the two sides.

The meeting also addressed ways to encourage trade and investment exchange and explored promising opportunities that would enhance bilateral cooperation and achieve shared interests.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Meitha Al Saleh, Senior Economic and Commercial Affairs Specialist at the Mission, and Ms. Hamda Al Shayji, Senior Political Affairs Specialist at the Mission.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, met with His Excellency Mr. Andrey Yatskin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further develop bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, received at the Embassy His Excellency Igor Levitin, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Special Representative of the President for International Cooperation in the Field of Transport.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further develop bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and other areas of mutual interest.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, met with His Excellency Mr. Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on issues related to the development of parliamentary relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation.

The two sides reaffirmed that relations between the UAE and Russia continue to enjoy an advanced level, thanks to the regular contacts between the leadership of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Al Ketbi, Deputy Head of the UAE Mission in Moscow, and Senator Arsen Kanokov, Head of the Federation Council Group for Cooperation with the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

This came during a meeting held today at the Kremlin between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, as part of His Highness's official visit to the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, His Highness and the Russian President reviewed the development of UAE-Russian relations over the past period, particularly in the economic, trade, investment, space, energy, and other fields, within the framework of the two countries' strategic partnership, emphasizing their commitment to developing these relations at all levels.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

During the call, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation, and the progress they are witnessing, in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries and supports their aspirations for further progress and prosperity.

The two sides also discussed the overall issues and challenges in the region, and ways to de-escalate tensions and work towards solutions that guarantee peace, development, and sustainable prosperity for the peoples of the region.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, met with Mr. Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of the Roscosmos State Space Corporation.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for Russian-Emirati cooperation in the space sector and other topics of mutual interest.

Ms. Maitha Ahmed Al Saleh, Senior Economic and Commercial Affairs Specialist at the UAE Mission, also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, met with His Excellency Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for Russian-Emirati cooperation in the economic field and other topics of mutual interest.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, attended the 16th BRICS Summit, which was inaugurated today by His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, in the Russian city of Kazan.

This marks the UAE's first participation in the summit as a member of the BRICS group.

The summit, chaired by Russia this year, is being held under the theme "Multilateralism for Sustainable Development and Global Security." It is being attended by leaders and heads of government from several BRICS countries, as well as representatives from invited countries and a number of international organizations.

The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of education and ways to enhance it between the two friendly countries. His Excellency the Minister also briefed the UAE Ambassador on the educational and training objectives and programs of the Sirius Education Center.

On April 5, at the Russian Foreign Ministry headquarters, His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, presented the Order of Friendship to His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation. The award was bestowed upon him by decree of His Excellency President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, in recognition of the Ambassador's significant contribution to strengthening Russian-Emirati relations.

Minister Lavrov commended the Ambassador's efforts in enhancing bilateral cooperation, reflecting the strategic relationship between the two friendly nations. He praised Ambassador Al Jaber's work, which led to this high honor being awarded to those who make substantial contributions to strengthening cooperation with their country.

The UAE Ambassador expressed his gratitude for this honor from His Excellency President Vladimir Putin, noting that it stemmed from the trust placed in him by the wise leadership of the UAE. He added that it reflects the strength of the relationship between the two friendly countries and underscores the commitment of both sides to elevating it to broader horizons.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, at the embassy.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov praised the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation and the advanced level they have reached in all fields. He also expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the Ambassador for the warm welcome and for his keen interest in developing and strengthening the close ties of friendship and cooperation with his country.

Mr. Mohammed Rashid Al Mansouri, Head of the Political Section at the Embassy, also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, including education.

The Minister highlighted the distinguished strategic relations between the two friendly countries and expressed his keenness to enhance cooperation between their respective ministries.

Mr. Ahmed Al Shehhi, Head of the Economic and Trade Affairs Section, and Ms. Naeema Al Musharrakh, Head of the Media and Public Diplomacy Section at the Embassy, also attended the meeting.

His Highness and the Russian Foreign Minister also reviewed a number of issues related to the meeting's agenda and discussed the latest developments on the regional and international scenes, exchanging views on them.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that UAE-Russia relations are based on solid foundations of mutual understanding, respect, and fruitful and constructive cooperation, and are witnessing rapid growth, especially after the signing of the strategic partnership between the two countries in 2018.

His Highness noted the keenness of both friendly countries to develop these relations and advance prospects for joint cooperation in all fields, in a way that benefits their peoples and achieves their mutual interests.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, affirmed the UAE's unwavering commitment to supporting peace and stability on both the regional and international stages, and to political solutions for conflicts, including the Ukrainian crisis, through de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy. He also emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the crisis and supporting prisoner exchange initiatives between the two sides.

This came during the meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, today in St. Petersburg, as part of His Highness's working visit to the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, His Highness and the Russian President reviewed the trajectory of UAE-Russia relations within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, affirming their commitment to further developing these relations.

For his part, His Highness the President of the UAE emphasized the UAE's keenness to build bridges of cooperation and establish partnerships with the Russian Federation and various countries around the world in a way that strengthens common interests and achieves development and prosperity for all.

His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, awarded His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, the Pushkin Medal in recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations between the Russian Federation and the UAE, by presidential decree issued on October 22, 2025.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, discussed today, during a phone call, the strategic partnership between their two countries and ways to strengthen it for the benefit of their peoples.

His Highness the President and the Russian President also reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and their serious repercussions on security and stability in the region and the world, in addition to the efforts being made to contain the situation and end the escalation.

During the call, both sides stressed the need for restraint and resorting to dialogue to avoid exposing regional and global security to further threats, emphasizing their support for all efforts that would achieve de-escalation through diplomatic means.
