His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, held in Abu Dhabi, they discussed cooperation relations and the strategic partnership between the UAE and the Russian Federation, and the efforts of the two friendly countries to enhance prospects for joint cooperation in all fields.
The two sides also reviewed a number of issues of common interest and exchanged views on them.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, emphasizing the comprehensive strategic partnership that unites the two countries in all fields and the need to strengthen it. His Highness expressed his pride in the outcomes of the meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, in St. Petersburg during His Highness's visit to Russia last October, which reflected the rapid growth in cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, hosted a dinner in honor of His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Mohammed Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
