His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a telephone conversation with His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the friendly Russian Federation. During the call, His Highness expressed his appreciation for Russia's supportive stance towards the UAE during the recent UN Security Council session regarding the terrorist attack by the Houthi militia on civilian areas and facilities in the UAE, which the Council condemned.
His Highness also emphasized the deep-rooted friendship and strategic partnership between the UAE and the Russian Federation, and the two countries' commitment to strengthening and developing this relationship across all fields.
For his part, His Excellency Sergey Lavrov commended the strong strategic UAE-Russian relations and the prominent role the UAE plays in achieving peace, security, and stability in the region, as well as its unwavering commitment to supporting the international community's efforts in this regard.
