Economic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Rwanda continues to expand, driven by strategic investment partnerships and a strong bilateral framework.
Bilateral trade has nearly doubled to approximately US$1.5 billion, while Rwanda's leading exports to the UAE include gold, coltan, and fresh agricultural products such as avocados, fruits, and vegetables.
The UAE also ranks among Rwanda's leading sources of foreign direct investment, with investments spanning logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, mining, and information technology.
The two countries have also concluded key agreements on the avoidance of double taxation, air services, and the reciprocal promotion and protection of investments, while additional agreements under negotiation are expected to further enhance the bilateral economic partnership.
