Relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Rwanda have witnessed steady strategic development since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1995. They are based on a strong partnership characterized by diversity and complementarity, encompassing the fields of economy, investment, trade, development and sustainability, education, and financial services.

On the diplomatic level, both countries have worked to strengthen bilateral relations and expand areas of cooperation, moving towards broader horizons. This has been reflected in the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Abu Dhabi and its Consulate in Dubai in 2015, as well as the opening of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kigali in 2018.

Bilateral relations continue to receive sustained support from the leadership of both countries, with ongoing efforts to further develop cooperation across various sectors, including economic, investment, and educational fields, as well as enhancing trade exchange and expanding partnerships between the business communities in both countries.

These growing relations reflect a shared commitment by both nations to elevate their partnership to broader levels of cooperation, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
