H.E. Hazza Al Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to Rwanda, met with Hon. Prudence Sebahizi, Minister of Trade and Industry. They held productive discussions on further developing bilateral trade between the UAE and Rwanda.

H.E. Hazza Al Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to Rwanda, had a meeting with Hon. Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Cooperation. Their discussions focused on further enhancing bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Rwanda.

H.E. Hazza Al Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to Rwanda, met with Hon. Francis Gatare, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board. They held productive discussions on further enhancing bilateral trade and investment between the UAE and Rwanda.

H.E. Hazza Al Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to Rwanda, together with a delegation from Yahsat Government Solutions, met with Hon. Paula Ingabire, Minister of ICT and Innovation. They held in-depth discussions to explore potential collaborations and how Yahsat solutions can support Rwanda's ICT agenda.

H.E. Hazza Al Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to Rwanda, and the delegation from Yahsat Government Solutions met with Hon. Claudette Irere, Minister of State for Education. They held productive discussions on exploring the possibility of providing satellite broadband internet connectivity to more Rwandan schools through the next phase of the YahClick satellite internet project, implemented by Yahsat.

H.E. Hazza Al Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Rwanda, received a delegation from the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation during its visit to Rwanda. During the meeting, they discussed ways to support the foundation’s activities in Rwanda.

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, H.E. Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, attended the ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi in the Republic of Rwanda. A number of heads of state and government, as well as representatives attended the event from international and regional organizations.

The United Arab Emirates Embassy in Kigali hosted an Interfaith Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, attended by Mrs. Clementine Mukeka, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, along with leaders from several religious sects, high-level officials, and Ambassadors to the Republic of Rwanda.

The first session of the Joint Economic Committee was convened to strengthen prospects of cooperation and partnership across several sectors of common interest, including industry, energy, education, space technology, environment, human resources, culture, youth development, and supporting collaborative efforts to elevate trade ties to new heights.

Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, met with His Excellency Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, in relation to the holding of the first session of the Joint Economic Committee between the UAE and Rwanda in the capital, Kigali, aimed at of enhancing prospects for cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

H.E. Ambassador Hazza AlQahtani named a male baby gorilla from the Kwitonda Family with the name Urunana that means Collaboration. He chose the name to highlight the importance of collaboration & partnerships to achieve global conservation goals.
