H.E. On World Environment Day (June 5), H.E. Mariam Alshamsi, UAE Consul General in Guangzhou, attended China’s National Annual Event for 2026 World Environment Day, co-organized by China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Central Civilization Office, and the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

H.E. Mariam Alshamsi, UAE Consul General in Guangzhou, visited Shenzhen’s Guangming District, conducting site visits to Dymind Biotechnology, TCL CSOT, Guangming District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, among other key sites. Li Xingliang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Guangming District Party Committee, along with representatives from the District Foreign Affairs Office and relevant enterprises, accompanied the visit. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on industrial development, economic trade, and bilateral exchanges, aiming to jointly promote practical cooperation between the UAE and China.

During the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, H.E. Mariam Alshamsi, UAE Consul General in Guangzhou, attended and delivered remarks at the “2026 Kunpeng Spring Gathering — Shenzhen’s Global Cultural, Tourism, and Economic Cooperation Exchange Meeting,” hosted by CCPIT Shenzhen and CCOIC Shenzhen.

H.E. Al Hammadi noted that date palm is an important economic crop and a cultural symbol of the UAE, as well as a key bond linking the friendship between the UAE and China.

To further advance friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between the UAE and China’s Hainan Province, H.E. Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to China, accompanied by H.E. Mariam Alshamsi, UAE Consul General in Guangzhou, met with H.E. Liu Xiaoming, Governor of Hainan Province, on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 held in Hainan. The two sides discussed the prospects for cooperation in various fields, including trade, agriculture, transportation, tourism and education, and explored opportunities to deepen their partnership in these areas, so as to promote the development of bilateral relations and realize the common interests of both sides.
