The seventh EU–UAE Structural Dialogue on AML/CFT was held in Abu Dhabi, chaired by Saeed Al Hajeri, with the next round set for Brussels in early 2025.

The UAE Embassy in Brussels confirmed the extradition of John Bico Penaque to Belgium on October 24, 2024, following a court ruling authorizing his extradition on chargers related to money laundering and forgery. This marks the fourth successful extradition carried out under the bilateral extradition agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Belgium, signed in December 2021 and ratified by both countries in November 2022.

The UAE Embassy in Brussels confirmed the extradition of John Bico Penaque to Belgium on 24 October 2024 following a court ruling — the fourth extradition under the UAE–Belgium agreement (signed Dec 2021, ratified Nov 2022), on money laundering and forgery charges.

The UAE took part in the first leaders-level GCC–EU Summit in Brussels.
