Arab Youth Center Opens in Jordan in Partnership with the Arab Youth Center in the United Arab Emirates

The Crown Prince Foundation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has announced the opening of the Arab Youth Center in Jordan, in strategic partnership with the Arab Youth Center in the United Arab Emirates, making it the Center’s first branch outside the UAE.

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Families Affairs and Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre, said: “The opening of the Arab Youth Center in Jordan marks the beginning of a new phase in the journey of joint Arab youth action. Our vision is based on the belief that empowering youth is a shared Arab responsibility that requires sustainable institutions capable of transforming ambition into capability, ideas into projects, and talent into a development resource. From this standpoint, we are working to build an interconnected ecosystem that enables young people to access the knowledge, tools and networks that expand their opportunities and strengthen their role in shaping the future of their nations.”

He added: “Having Jordan as the first destination for the expansion of the Center’s model outside the UAE reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the importance accorded to youth within the development visions of both countries. In partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation, we are establishing a model that combines regional expertise with national leadership and connects Arab youth in Jordan with their wider Arab community, thereby expanding the impact of successful initiatives and supporting sustainable development in the region.”

The opening ceremony, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Arab Youth Center; Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, Jordanian Minister of Youth; Odai Al-Salamin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Crown Prince Foundation; and Counselor Hamad Al Matrooshi, Chargé d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in Amman, alongside a distinguished group of Jordanian and Arab youth.

In the opening speech, Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Arab Youth Center, said: “Today, we are working with a generation experiencing an unprecedented transformation in the nature of the economy, work, and opportunities. Jobs are changing, new sectors are emerging, and technologies are redefining what humans can achieve. Therefore, we cannot prepare young people for a new future using the same tools with which previous generations were prepared. Our role is no longer to direct young people toward a single path or to present them with a single definition of success. Rather, it is to broaden the choices available to them and equip them with the ability to make their own choices. Do not measure your future by what is available to you today; part of your role is to create what is not yet available.”

The Crown Prince Foundation will lead the Center’s local management in accordance with national priorities and the needs of young people, while the Arab Youth Center will support it with its expertise, programmes and regional networks, enhancing opportunities for youth in the fields of leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology and future skills.

For his part, Odai Al-Salamin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Crown Prince Foundation, said in his remarks: “The opening of the Arab Youth Center in Jordan embodies the depth of the fraternal and historic relations that have united the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United Arab Emirates over the course of decades.”
He added: “We are proud that Jordan is the first destination for the Arab Youth Center’s regional expansion, and we value the confidence reflected in this choice. The Center in Jordan is the outcome of a partnership between the Crown Prince Foundation and the Arab Youth Center that has developed over a number of years, reinforcing the shared conviction that the integration of efforts creates greater opportunities for young people, and that investing in youth is an investment in the future.”

Al-Salamin noted that the opening of the Arab Youth Center in Jordan coincides with the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Crown Prince Foundation, which embodies the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and reflects the Foundation’s journey of working with young people and the tangible impact generated by its initiatives and programmes.

He added: “Our ambition is for the Center to be more than simply a facility. Rather, we want it to be a genuine space led by young people, where they are partners in designing its programmes, developing its initiatives, and building networks and opportunities that extend from Jordan to the wider Arab world.”

The ceremony included a presentation on the history of cooperation between the two sides since 2017, the stages involved in establishing the Center, and its operational plans and upcoming programmes. The commemorative plaque marking the opening of the Center was also signed.

Located at King Abdullah II Gardens in the Al-Muqabalein area of Amman, the Center includes innovation and digital fabrication laboratories, business incubators, and creative, educational and collaborative spaces. It will focus on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, youth research, sustainability and future skills through training and mentoring programmes, practical laboratories, and opportunities for networking, learning and collaborative work.
