His Excellency Matar Salem Ali Marran AlDhaheri serves as the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, playing a central role in advancing strategic and fraternal ties between the two brotherly nations. He brings extensive experience in diplomacy, military service, and administrative leadership.
His distinguished career includes serving as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense from 2016 to 2025, and as Assistant Undersecretary for Policies and Strategic Affairs from 2015 to 2016—positions that provided him with comprehensive insight into national policy and security matters, strengthening his ability to foster bilateral relations with a forward-looking vision.
H.E. AlDhaheri has held senior leadership positions within the Armed Forces: he holds a Master’s degree in Political Development from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, and is fluent in Arabic and English.
