Hong Kong’s official currency is the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), while the official Chinese currency, the Renminbi (CNY), is also widely accepted.

Despite the fact that the HKD is linked to the US Dollar, most commercial establishments in Hong Kong do not accept USD for cash payment.
