Latvia has announced to Latvian news agency that it is still willing to participate in the World Expo 2020 event after the International Exhibitions Bureau formally agreed to postpone the event until October 1, 2021 - March 31, 2022 to open its doors again and present new ideas at a time when it is most needed to redraw the features of a world again. Latvia's Participation in this exhibition will allow it to expand its export markets in the Arab Gulf and Asian regions and globally. Latvia has identified the following sectors as priorities for participation in EXPO 2020: ICT, food technology, cyber security, logistics / transport, pharmaceuticals, medical tourism, renewable energies and smart solutions (especially in public administration, aviation, education, medical care).
