His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, held a telephone conversation today with His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, during which they discussed the strategic relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them in a manner that serves their common interests.

During the call, the Russian President expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the President of the UAE for the success of the UAE's mediation efforts regarding the recent prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

His Highness and the Russian President also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on them, foremost among them the Ukrainian crisis. His Highness emphasized the UAE's steadfast approach to supporting peace and stability on both the regional and international stages and finding political solutions to conflicts and disputes through continued dialogue and diplomacy. He stressed the UAE's commitment to supporting all initiatives and efforts that would alleviate the humanitarian repercussions of the Ukrainian crisis.

His Excellency Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, is participating in the ninth meeting of BRICS culture ministers, held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The meeting aims to strengthen cultural cooperation among the BRICS countries and unify visions and ideas for developing cultural policies that address pressing environmental issues and ensure the sustainability of arts and cultural and creative industries.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed current regional developments, particularly the situations in Syria and Lebanon, during a phone call today with His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

His Highness and His Excellency Sergey Lavrov also discussed a number of topics of mutual interest related to the strategic relations and comprehensive partnership between the two friendly countries, especially in the cultural and economic fields.

In a gracious gesture from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, bestowed the Order of Zayed II, First Class, upon His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, in recognition of his efforts in strengthening relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation across various fields. This took place at the conclusion of the 19th Meeting of Heads of UAE Diplomatic Missions Abroad.

On this occasion, the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation extends its warmest congratulations to His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, wishing him continued progress, success, and dedication in serving our beloved nation.

During the call, they discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance and develop it within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, in a manner that serves their common interests. They affirmed their commitment to continuing to strengthen these relations at all levels for the benefit of their peoples.

During the call, President Vladimir Putin expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the President of the State for the successful mediation efforts exerted by the UAE during the past period regarding the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine, the latest of which was during this month of March. His Highness expressed his thanks for the cooperation shown by the Russian government with the UAE in this regard, which played an important role in the success of its efforts. His Highness stressed the State’s keenness to continue to exert more effort in this important humanitarian aspect and its support for all endeavors aimed at the success of the efforts made to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis and to alleviate its repercussions and the resulting humanitarian effects.

During the call, His Highness the President congratulated President Vladimir Putin on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, which falls on May 9th, wishing Russia and its people continued progress and prosperity.

For his part, His Excellency Vladimir Putin thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the UAE's successful mediation in the recent and largest prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine last April, praising the fruitful efforts undertaken by the UAE and its mediation in this area over the past period.

His Highness the President expressed his gratitude to the Russian President for Russia's cooperation in the success of all previous mediation efforts, affirming that the UAE will continue its endeavors in this important humanitarian area and support all efforts aimed at finding a peaceful settlement to the conflict.

This came during a meeting held by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with His Excellency Vladimir Putin at Qasr Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi. At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness welcomed the Russian President's visit to the UAE, praising his active role in developing and strengthening UAE-Russia relations at all levels. President Vladimir Putin congratulated His Highness on the 52nd anniversary of the UAE's founding, wishing the UAE continued progress and prosperity.

His Highness the President of the State and the Russian President exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, foremost among them the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the need for the international community to act to stop the fighting in the Gaza Strip, protect civilians and ensure the delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to them through safe, permanent and unhindered mechanisms. In this context, the two sides stressed the importance of working to create a clear horizon for a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region based on the “two-state solution”.

President Vladimir Putin also expressed gratitude and appreciation to the UAE President for the United Arab Emirates' continued successful mediation efforts regarding the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of these efforts and their humanitarian significance.

Furthermore, the parties discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on them, primarily regarding the development of the situation in the Middle East, its serious implications for regional and international security and stability, as well as its impact on freedom of international navigation, energy security, and the global economy.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Administration, sent congratulatory messages to Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

As part of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation's commitment to supporting humanitarian and social efforts and promoting family stability, and in cooperation with the Office of the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, and the Country for Children Foundation, four children were reunited with their mother after a period of forced separation caused by health and living circumstances.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, and Ms. Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, took part in the family meeting following the completion of a comprehensive support plan that included preparing suitable housing and providing essential needs, thereby contributing to restoring stability for the family.

Mr. Ahmed Al Ketbi, Deputy Head of the Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, participated in a meeting held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow from the BRICS member states and partner countries.

The meeting addressed the key issues on the international agenda, while emphasizing the importance of preserving the central role of the United Nations, strengthening coordination among BRICS countries, and further developing the group's partnerships in line with the priorities of India's presidency of BRICS this year.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may Allah protect him), received His Excellency Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, who is in the UAE on a working visit.

The First Deputy Prime Minister conveyed to His Highness greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin and his wishes for the continued prosperity of Russian-UAE relations. His Highness, in turn, conveyed his greetings to President Vladimir Putin, expressing his wishes for the continued development and prosperity of Russia and its people.

During the meeting, His Highness and His Excellency Denis Manturov discussed the development of cooperation between the UAE and Russia in various areas, particularly in economics and sustainable development, as well as continued joint efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff for Special Affairs at the Presidential Office, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President of the UAE, as well as a number of ministers and officials.

Igor Levitin, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, received UAE Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber at the Kremlin.

During the meeting, the Russian Presidential Aide thanked the UAE leadership for the warm welcome extended to the Russian President during his recent visit to the UAE in December 2023, and for the visit's success in strengthening relations between the two friendly countries.

The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and issues of common interest.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber presented his credentials as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. The ceremony took place at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber met with General Viktor Vasilyevich Zolotov, Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation and Commander-in-Chief of the Russian National Guard, at the National Guard's Central Administration headquarters.

 

The Ambassador and embassy diplomats toured the National Guard Museum, learning about its history and development from the Soviet era to the present day.

 

During the meeting, General Zolotov expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Ambassador and his delegation to the National Guard. He briefed them on the National Guard's role and its work in protecting state facilities, alongside the Ministry of Internal Affairs, maintaining public security and order, and working with security agencies to combat terrorism. He also mentioned its cooperation with the Federal Security Service (FSB) in protecting high-ranking officials.

At the end of the meeting, the possibility of exchanging military expertise between the two friendly countries was discussed.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, where they discussed strengthening relations between the two friendly countries in various fields. His Highness presented the Russian Minister with the Order of the Union, and also presented Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov with the Order of Zayed II, First Class, both awards bestowed by the President of the UAE in recognition of their efforts in developing and enhancing bilateral relations during the past period.

Talks were held today in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, between His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. During the talks, the two sides discussed the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries in various fields, in addition to a number of issues of common interest. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual readiness and shared commitment to further developing and enhancing cooperation between the two countries at all levels.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Moscow, was honored by His Excellency Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, with a certificate of appreciation for his achievements and efforts since assuming his post as Ambassador of the UAE to the Russian Federation.

These efforts have significantly contributed to strengthening the close friendship between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to expand cooperation.

Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, awarded the UAE Ambassador, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, the Federal Medal of Merit for his efforts in strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries, in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya.

Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, awarded His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, the Order of Friendship by presidential decree. This award recognizes the Ambassador's active role and commendable efforts in strengthening the distinguished relations of cooperation and friendship between the United Arab Emirates, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tatarstan. His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his pride in receiving this honor, which reflects the depth of UAE-Russian relations, noting that the UAE always looks forward to close cooperation that serves mutual interests.
