The UAE President and the Russian President Discuss Various Aspects of Bilateral Cooperation and Ways to Enhance and Develop It During a Phone Call

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call from His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation. During the call, they discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance and develop it within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, in a manner that serves their common interests. They affirmed their commitment to continuing to strengthen these relations at all levels for the benefit of their peoples.

During the call, President Vladimir Putin expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the President of the State for the successful mediation efforts exerted by the UAE during the past period regarding the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine, the latest of which was during this month of March. His Highness expressed his thanks for the cooperation shown by the Russian government with the UAE in this regard, which played an important role in the success of its efforts. His Highness stressed the State’s keenness to continue to exert more effort in this important humanitarian aspect and its support for all endeavors aimed at the success of the efforts made to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis and to alleviate its repercussions and the resulting humanitarian effects.
