During a phone call with the UAE President, Putin praised the UAE's role in prisoner exchange operations.
During the call, His Highness the President congratulated President Vladimir Putin on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, which falls on May 9th, wishing Russia and its people continued progress and prosperity.
For his part, His Excellency Vladimir Putin thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the UAE's successful mediation in the recent and largest prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine last April, praising the fruitful efforts undertaken by the UAE and its mediation in this area over the past period.
His Highness the President expressed his gratitude to the Russian President for Russia's cooperation in the success of all previous mediation efforts, affirming that the UAE will continue its endeavors in this important humanitarian area and support all efforts aimed at finding a peaceful settlement to the conflict.
