His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, affirmed the UAE's unwavering commitment to supporting peace and stability on both the regional and international stages, and to political solutions for conflicts, including the Ukrainian crisis, through de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy. He also emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the crisis and supporting prisoner exchange initiatives between the two sides.
This came during the meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, today in St. Petersburg, as part of His Highness's working visit to the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, His Highness and the Russian President reviewed the trajectory of UAE-Russia relations within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, affirming their commitment to further developing these relations.
For his part, His Highness the President of the UAE emphasized the UAE's keenness to build bridges of cooperation and establish partnerships with the Russian Federation and various countries around the world in a way that strengthens common interests and achieves development and prosperity for all.
