H.E. Hamad Abdullah Saeed bin Saeed Al Matrooshi serves as Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan since 2024. He brings more than two decades of professional experience across diplomatic assignments abroad, as well as administrative and technical roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H.E. Al Matrooshi joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, where he held a number of administrative and financial roles and contributed to supporting various areas of institutional work within the Ministry. In 2010, he was assigned to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of the Philippines as Diplomatic Attaché, a position he held until 2013.
Upon his return to the Ministry’s headquarters, he served as Head of Procurement and Warehouses in the Financial Affairs Department, before assuming the position of Third Secretary in the Consular Services Department. Within the East Asia and Pacific Department, H.E. Al Matrooshi served as Senior Country Desk Officer, then Head of the Far East Section, before leading the Southeast Asia Section, where he contributed to strengthening the UAE’s relations with countries of the region and advancing bilateral cooperation across various fields. In 2023, he was appointed Political Counselor at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, before being assigned as Chargé d’Affaires in 2024.
H.E. Al Matrooshi holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from the Emirates Institute of Finance, as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration from Jadara University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
