UAE Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Amman Meets Chair and Members of the Jordanian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee

H.E. Hamad Al Matrooshi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Amman, met with the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Jordanian House of Representatives, chaired by H.E. Eng. Haytham Zayadeen to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly parliamentary cooperation. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations between the two brotherly countries.

H.E. Eng. Haytham Zayadeen affirmed that Jordanian-UAE relations are founded on a long-standing legacy of brotherhood, mutual trust, and close coordination, guided by the shared vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. He noted that this partnership serves the interests of both nations and reinforces joint Arab action in addressing regional challenges.

He also commended the UAE’s steadfast support for Jordan at various levels, highlighting that the UAE has consistently been a strategic partner to the Kingdom through its high-quality investments and development projects, which have contributed to supporting the national economy, creating employment opportunities, and advancing sustainable development across multiple sectors.

H.E. Eng. Zayadeen further emphasized that relations between the two countries extend beyond political and economic dimensions, reflecting deep-rooted fraternal ties and a unified stance on Arab issues. He stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates is an integral part of Jordan’s security, and that the stability of both countries constitutes a cornerstone of regional peace and stability.

For his part, H.E. Hamad Al Matrooshi expressed his pride in the strong and enduring relations between the two brotherly countries, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Jordan across all fields. He underscored the importance of building upon the successful partnerships already established in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both nations and fulfills the aspirations of their leaderships and peoples.

Committee members H.E. Mohammad Sabayleh and H.E. Ali Al Ghazawi also affirmed that Jordanian-UAE relations represent a distinguished Arab model of cooperation and integration. They noted that the historical and fraternal bonds between the two countries provide a solid foundation for expanding coordination and collaboration across various sectors.

They further highlighted the Jordanian House of Representatives’ commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen parliamentary relations with the UAE’s Federal National Council, thereby broadening avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise in support of shared Arab causes. They also emphasized that the positions of Jordan and the UAE are guided by a common vision based on respect for the sovereignty of states, the promotion of security and stability, and the advancement of joint Arab action
