Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to The Kingdom of Norway H.E. FATEMA KHAMIS SALEM KHALFAN ALMAZROUEI

H.E. Fatema Khamis Salem Khalfan Almazrouei serves as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Norway and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. Since assuming her post in Oslo in January 2023, she has worked to further strengthen the longstanding relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Nordic region across the political, economic, cultural, and multilateral fields.

H.E. Almazrouei joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates in 2000 and has built a distinguished diplomatic career. She began her overseas service as Second Secretary in the Political Department at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington, D.C., from 2006 to 2010, during which she also completed a one-year assignment at the World Bank.

From 2010 to 2013, she served in the Political Department of the UAE Embassy in Brussels as Chargé d’Affaires and, between 2010 and 2011, represented the United Arab Emirates to NATO. She served as Chargé d’Affaires in the Economic Department at the Permanent Delegation of the UAE to the League of Arab States in Cairo from 2013 to 2016, where she was responsible for the European Union portfolio.

In 2017, H.E. Almazrouei was appointed as the first Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Denmark, where she led the establishment of the UAE Embassy in Copenhagen and served until 2021. During her tenure, she also served as Dean of the Arab Ambassadors in Denmark, reflecting the confidence and respect of the Arab diplomatic corps.

In January 2023, she was appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Norway. In January 2025, she also presented her credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, following the reopening of the UAE Embassy in Copenhagen.

H.E. Almazrouei holds a Master's Degree in Comparative Regional Studies from the American University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor's Degree in Hebrew Language and Literature from Ain Shams University in Cairo. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and Hebrew.
