Not all medications require prior approval before entering the UAE. To determine whether your medication is subject to approval, please contact the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) Customer Service Center and provide the name of your medication.

If your medication is classified as a controlled substance, you must either:
• obtain prior approval from the relevant UAE authorities before traveling; or 
• carry a medical report or prescription in English, signed and stamped by your treating physician, clearly stating the name of the medication and its prescribed dosage. 

Please follow the steps below to attest a document: 
1. Applications for document attestation must be submitted online through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) website or the UAE MoFA smart application. 
2. Complete the online application and pay the applicable fees.
3. Once the application has been approved, you will receive a confirmation notification. 
4. Contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Oslo by email to arrange an appointment to complete the attestation process: sara.khalil@mofa.gov.ae
Note: The original document must be authenticated by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to submission the Embassy.

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Oslo does not issue entry visas.
UAE visas may be obtained through accredited travel agencies or approved UAE-based airlines. Depending on your travel arrangements, hotels in the UAE may also be able to assist with visa applications.
