Travel Guidelines for UAE Nationals

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Sultanate of Oman advises UAE nationals to review the following guidelines and requirements before traveling to Oman:

  • UAE nationals do not require a prior entry visa to travel to Oman. Travelers should ensure that their passports and identification documents remain valid for the duration of their stay and return journey.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Oman, observe entry and travel requirements, and refrain from carrying prohibited or restricted items.
  • Keep passports, official documents, and valuable personal belongings in a secure place at your accommodation.
  • Register with the Twajudi service through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or smart application before traveling.
  • When traveling with domestic workers, verify the applicable entry requirements in advance and obtain any required visa before departure. Omani authorities may permit visas to be issued at land border crossings, subject to applicable requirements and procedures.
  • Observe all traffic laws and regulations, drive safely, and comply with local road and traffic requirements.
  • In case of an emergency, contact the UAE Embassy or the relevant authorities in Oman. UAE nationals abroad may also contact MoFA’s emergency line on +971 800 24.
  • The Sultanate of Oman offers a diverse range of tourism experiences and cultural, heritage, and natural attractions across its governorates. Further information on destinations and tourism is available through the official Oman portal.
