The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Zimbabwe share bilateral relations founded on mutual respect and common interests. These relations continue to advance across a range of sectors, most notably trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development, supported by reciprocal official visits, ongoing dialogue, and partnerships between government entities in both friendly countries.
On the economic front, relations between the two countries have witnessed notable growth in trade and investment. The UAE and Zimbabwe have signed a number of agreements aimed at promoting and protecting mutual investments and avoiding double taxation, while also expanding cooperation in the energy sector.
Bilateral cooperation has also extended to education, health, technology, innovation, and government capacity building. This includes the Government Experience Exchange Program between the two countries, which has been extended through 2030, contributing to enhanced government performance and stronger institutional capabilities.
