The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union received a delegation from the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) as part of an academic two-day trip.
The delegation held informative visits to various headquarters of international institutions and bodies based in Brussels. Specifically, they met with representatives from NATO, the Belgian Foreign Ministry, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, and the Council of the European Union.
H.E Ambassador Mohamed Al Sahlawi and the Embassy’s diplomats met with the AGDA delegation and held interesting discussions about the role of the Embassy, the UAE’s bilateral relations with Belgium and Luxembourg, the UAE’s role within NATO, and the UAE’s relations with the European Union, touching upon opportunities to foster stronger relations.
During their visit, the AGDA delegation also met with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Vice-President of the European Commission.
