The fourth Senior Officials' Meeting between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the European Union (EU) took place today in Brussels, marking a significant step forward in the comprehensive bilateral partnership established under the Cooperation Arrangement between the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
The UAE delegation was led by Mr. Abdulrahman Alneyadi, Director of the European Affairs Department at MOFA, while the EU delegation was led by Her Excellency Helen Le Gal, the Managing Director for the MENA Region at the European External Action Service (EEAS). The meeting aimed to further solidify the partnership based on the 2022 EU Joint Communication for a Strategic Partnership with the Gulf.
Discussions during the meeting focused on critical issues within the framework of three key Working Groups: "Trade and Economic Diversification", "Security and Counter-Terrorism", and "Global Agenda". Both parties explored a wide range of mutual interests, including:

The next Senior Officials' Meeting is scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi in 2025, continuing the ongoing dialogue and cooperation between the UAE and the EU
