His Excellency Ahmed Alhameli, UAE ambassador to Turkmenistan, received His Excellency Mohammed Al Qubaisi, Vice President of the UAE Cycling Federation, Captain Suleiman Al Hammadi, Director of Al Wathba Team, and Dr Hamad Alhameli, member of the team, in Ashgabat.
During the visit, the ambassador and the Al-Wathba team made a sports tour with the Turkmen national team and the head of the Turkmen Cycling Federation in the streets of the capital. They inspected the race track in the Olympic Village, the recovery centre, the carpet museum and the horse complex. They met with senior officials in Turkmenistan's sports affairs and discussed joint bilateral cooperation with them.
The ambassador and the team thanked His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, for directing the Council of Ministers and concerned institutions to facilitate the visit, provide all services, secure tours and make the visit successful.
