Her Excellency Maitha Al Shamsi and the First Lady of Turkey Participate in the Opening of New Units at Sheikh Zayed Children's Care Complex in Istanbul

Her Excellency Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, and Emine Erdoğan, First Lady of the Republic of Turkey, participated in the opening ceremony of new units at the Sheikh Zayed Children's Care Complex in the Bahçelievler district of Istanbul, in a step reflecting the depth of the humanitarian and social partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey.

The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services, whose ministry oversees the management of the complex that was established with the support and initiative of the Government of the United Arab Emirates to provide integrated care services for children.

In her speech during the ceremony, the spouse of the Turkish President expressed her happiness at the opening of the new expansion, while Her Excellency Maitha Al Shamsi emphasized the continuous support and attention received by joint humanitarian and development projects, reflecting the keenness of both countries' leaderships to support the groups most in need of care and to strengthen social solidarity.

The Sheikh Zayed Children's Care Complex is considered a living and pivotal model of bilateral cooperation and sustainable humanitarian work between the UAE and Turkey. The opening of the new units contributes to raising capacity and improving the level of care and services provided to children, ensuring a safe educational and social environment.
