Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Pays a Working Visit to Turkey and Discusses Strengthening Strategic Partnership with the Turkish President

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, paid an official working visit to the Republic of Turkey on May 8, 2026, during which he held a bilateral summit with His Excellency Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul to discuss ways to enhance the strategic partnership and the latest regional developments.

The high-level delegation accompanying His Highness included His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, His Excellency Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Advisor to the President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs, alongside a number of senior officials.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed comprehensive cooperation files in light of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the two countries, focusing on pushing forward sustainable economic development paths, increasing trade and investment exchange, and developing cooperation horizons in defense, advanced technology, and strategic research.

The discussions also witnessed the exchange of greetings between both leaderships and an affirmation of mutual commitment to developing bilateral relations to fulfill the aspirations of the two friendly peoples, as well as exchanging views on developments in the Middle East region and emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and supporting regional security and stability.
