Cooperation between the two countries continues to expand across a wide range of sectors, most notably trade. In 2024, non-oil trade increased by 1.65% to reach USD 480.7 million, compared to USD 472.9 million in 2023. The UAE's principal exports to Côte d’Ivoire include electrical and mechanical machinery, iron and steel, construction materials, food products, medical and surgical equipment, and spices. Côte d’Ivoire's main exports to the UAE include processed wood, base metals, gold, pearls and precious metals, processed cocoa, and perfumery products.
The two countries have also concluded a number of landmark agreements, including the Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments, the Air Services Agreement, the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement, and a Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai International Chamber and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire. In addition, the two sides have signed agreements for the development of a 70 MW solar power plant and the construction of a second solar power plant with a generation capacity of 50 MW.
