On behalf of the President of the UAE, Noura Al Kaabi attends the 10th ACS Summit of Heads of State and Government

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, attended the 10th ACS Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Monterrey, Colombia.

The summit, held under the theme “United for Life: Towards a More Sustainable Greater Caribbean" brought together heads of state and government from ACS member states, associate members, and observer states to garner support and chart a course for a sustainable future in the Greater Caribbean. The summit also coincided with the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Association.

On the sidelines of the summit meetings, Her Excellency Al Kaabi met with Her Excellency Noemi Espinoza Madrid, the eighth Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS). During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the UAE and ACS member states. They also discussed initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable tourism, addressing international challenges, including climate change, and collaborating on digital transformation projects, as well as strengthening people-to-people ties between the UAE and the Caribbean countries.

During the meeting, which was also attended by His Excellency Mohamed Abdullah AlShamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia, Her Excellency Al Kaabi stressed the UAE’s firm commitment to supporting partnerships in key areas, including the economy, trade, culture, and sustainable development.

Her Excellency Al Kaabi’s participation in this summit underscores the growing cooperation between the UAE and the Caribbean region in numerous areas of mutual interest.
