Participation of UAE Embassy in Nicosia at the Green & Sustainable Finance Conference, on 18 January 2024, organized by Ideopsis Ltd & Grand Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd, & supported by the British High Commission in Nicosia. The conference aims to highlight the enormous power that lies in the financial sector through funding & raises awareness to issues of sustainability.

H.E. Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador in Nicosia, held a constructive meeting with H.E. Thessalia Salina Shambos, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, where the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest.

Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador in Nicosia, attended the 7th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency – Energy Security (RESEE2023), jointly organized by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry of Cyprus and the International Renewable Energy Agency- IRENA. H.E. Al Shehhi addressed the conference, within the Session on Energy Compact on Renewable Energy for United Nations peacekeeping operations.

UAE Ambassador in Nicosia, H.E Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi, participated in the urgent meetings held separately with H.E. Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs , and H.E. Ms. Annita Demetriou, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, with the Arab Ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Cyprus, to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian issue, the regional situation, and the repercussions of the humanitarian condition.

H.E Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador in Nicosia, held a constructive meeting with officials from the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation to discuss ways to enhance cooperation on cultural issues. During the meeting, a cultural initiative was implemented at the level of national libraries to exchange books. H.E. Al Shehhi also made an introductory tour around the institution, in addition to visiting the library and the Byzantine Museum and Art Gallery.

H.E. Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador in Nicosia, attended the Maritime Cyprus 2023 conference organized by the Shipping Deputy Ministry in cooperation with the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and the Cyprus Union of Shipowners.

Ms. Koula Sophianou, Chief of State Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. Mr. Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, expressed heartfelt condolences to the Embassy of Libya, to the people and the government, for the victims of the floods and storms due to Hurricane Daniel, which claimed innocent lives and left thousands of people injured and missing, in addition to large material damages.
