Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Morocco

H.E. Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri serves as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Morocco. His Excellency has built a distinguished and extensive career spanning diplomatic assignments at the UAE’s missions abroad and senior leadership positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

H.E. Al Dhaheri joined the diplomatic corps in 1978. In 1987, he was appointed Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations Office in Geneva. He subsequently served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 1993 to 1999, and later as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America, while concurrently serving as Non-Resident Ambassador to Mexico until 2006. From 2006 to 2010, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Djibouti.

Throughout his distinguished career, His Excellency has received numerous prestigious honors and recognitions, including the First-Class Order of Bahrain in 1999. In 2016, he was awarded a high royal decoration by His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco in recognition of his diplomatic contributions. He was also recognized by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) as one of the UAE’s most prominent personalities of 2019.
