Interior Minister receives UAE Ambassador

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Fahad Mohammed Bin Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended the longstanding relations between the two countries and peoples. He emphasised the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and coordination, particularly in the security domains.

The Interior Minister affirmed Bahrain’s condemnation and strong denunciation of the terrorist and sabotage plot aimed at undermining the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates. He lauded the efficiency and vigilance of the UAE security authorities in dismantling the terrorist organisation, arresting its members and foiling its criminal plans.

The meeting reviewed areas of security cooperation and topics contributing to the development of joint work between the two countries. Developments in the current regional situation were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police.
