In the presence of H.E. The first phase of the initiative fulfilled the wishes of two sisters, Fatima, 12, and Layan, 7, who suffer from a very rare disease.
H.E. the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for this pioneering initiative, which embodies the depth of social bonds between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain. He praised the efforts of the UAE Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, as well as their fruitful cooperation in such distinguished charitable and humanitarian projects, which reflect the values of fraternity and human solidarity.

Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, expressed his great pleasure at launching this cooperation with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He affirmed that the initiative gives children with critical medical conditions an opportunity to experience genuine moments of happiness, helping to ease their hardships and giving them hope to continue their treatment and recovery.

For his part, Mr. Hani Al Zubaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, said: “Seeing the smiles return to the faces of Fatima and Layan is the greatest reward we could receive in our humanitarian journey.
