H.E. Obaid Khalifa Bakhit Abdullah Al Kaabi has served as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Kerala since 2022. He brings more than two decades of diplomatic experience, having held a range of diplomatic assignments across the UAE's missions abroad.
H.E. Al Kaabi joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001. He began his overseas diplomatic service at the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, Pakistan, where he served from 2007 to 2010. He was then posted to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the State of Kuwait, serving from 2010 to 2011, before returning to the Consulate General in Karachi, where he continued his diplomatic service from 2011 to 2015.
In 2015, H.E. Al Kaabi was posted to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, where he served until 2017. He subsequently served at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 2017 to 2020.
In 2020, H.E. Al Kaabi joined the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Kerala as Chargé d'Affaires. In 2022, he was appointed Consul General, a role through which he continues to strengthen bilateral relations and advance the interests of the United Arab Emirates while serving UAE nationals in the State of Kerala.
