The UAE Embassy in Finland, in cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, convened a high-level discussion entitled, “Water for All: The Road to the UN Water Conference 2026”

In preparation for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference 2026 UN Water Conference in the UAE, being held on Abu Dhabi this December, the UAE Embassy in Finland, in cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, convened a high-level discussion entitled, “Water for All: The Road to the UN Water Conference 2026”.

Finland, together with Zambia, Co-Chair “Water for Cooperation,” one of the 6 Interactive Dialogues guiding the official Conference agenda. ‎H.E. Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, and H.E. Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability, delivered opening remarks, followed by briefings from experts from the Finnish and UAE governments on the latest developments related to the Conference.

The roundtable brought together representatives from government, civil society, industry and the diplomatic community in Finland to exchange insights and accelerate opportunities to advance water solutions.
