The Consul General of the UAE meets with officials of the Investment Authority of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Saeed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the UAE to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, met with a delegation from the Investment Authority of the Government of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which included a number of department directors. During the meeting, which was held at the consulate headquarters, the distinguished relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kurdistan Region and mechanisms for developing them were discussed. The current contribution of Emirati companies to the investment sector in the region was also discussed, and the opportunities available to other companies to encourage them to enter the labor market in the region. The possibility of holding remote meetings between officials of the Kurdistan Region Investment Authority and Emirati investment companies was discussed to discuss the possibility of attracting them to work in the region.

The Investment Authority delegation conveyed the region’s leadership’s interest in expanding and developing economic relations, overcoming all obstacles facing Emirati companies operating in the region, and discussing developing mechanisms that lead to strengthening investment and trade relations.
In turn, His Excellency the Consul General of the State stressed the UAE’s keenness to develop the work of national companies abroad in various investment fields, especially in the renewable energy sector and the industrial sector.
