The Consul General of the UAE attends an academic conference on the genocide of the Faili Kurds
His Excellency Ahmed Al-Dhaheri, Consul General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, attended an academic conference called for by the regional government, which deals with one of the genocide operations that targeted the Faili Kurds.
The ceremony was held with the participation of His Excellency Masoud Barzani, the former President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Region, His Excellency Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister, and representatives of the federal government, the Federal Parliament, the United Nations and diplomatic missions in the Kurdistan Region.
The recommendations of the committee supervising the conference called for the Iraqi parliament to issue a special law to compensate the affected victims of the genocide among the Kurds, including the Faili Kurds, return their property, find their remains, and define an international day for genocide against the Kurds.
