His Excellency Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, confirmed that the coming period will witness more economic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
His Excellency the Consul General of the UAE spoke in an interview with the Kurdish-language "Kurdistan 24" TV channel, about the presence of Emirati companies in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as well as the importance of mutual visits, especially the recent visit of His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, to the UAE.
He stressed that the visit of His Excellency the President of the Kurdistan Region to the UAE has economic goals that will be reflected through Emirati investments and the strengthening of the presence of Emirati companies in the Kurdistan Region in the near future.
He pointed out that the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE are positive, and that the frequent visits of the leaders of the region to the Emirates reflect the strength of relations and the extent of interest enjoyed by the leaders of the Kurdistan Region in the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency the Consul General of the UAE said that all the visits of the leaders of the Kurdistan Region to the UAE reflected positively on the strength of bilateral relations, popularly and economically, and today we are witnessing a major economic boom through the establishment of an economic partnership in a number of files, including the file of food security.
He emphasized that the leaders of the Kurdistan Region are discussing in the UAE the integration of the food security file strategy, diversifying financial resources and strengthening the region's economy in commercial and industrial resources. He expected that the coming period would witness more economic cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates.
