His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum receives the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, "may God protect him", received, on February 12, His Excellency Masrour Barzani, President of the brotherly Kurdistan Regional Government, Iraq, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2023. His Highness welcomed His Excellency Masrour Barzani and the accompanying delegation at the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Supreme Chairman of the Emirates Airlines Group, and His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Chairman of the World Government Summit Foundation, His Excellency Muhammad bin Hadi Al Husseini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Director of the World Government Summit Foundation, and the meeting dealt with various aspects of cooperation between the UAE and brotherly Iraq in particular Kurdistan Region of Iraq in the economic, investment and development fields that serve the development and construction efforts of both sides.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Excellency Masrour Barzani exchanged views on all regional and international issues of common concern.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed the depth of the strong fraternal ties and the well-established relations that unite the UAE with brotherly Iraq, especially the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
For his part, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, during the meeting, expressed his happiness at meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and his pride in the relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in the United Arab Emirates.
