A delegation of the Council of Muslim Elders visits the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Kurdistan Region
The delegation of the Council of Muslim Elders, in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the country in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, visited the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the region, where the two sides discussed ways to confront extremist ideology and spread the values of coexistence, tolerance and peace.
The delegation was received by His Excellency Salar Othman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, who praised the Council's efforts in promoting the values of human brotherhood, confronting extremist ideology and spreading the values of coexistence, tolerance and peace. He also praised the great efforts led by the Council of Muslim Elders headed by His Eminence, Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayyib, Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and his efforts in combating extremism.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Council of Muslim Elders praised the experience of the Kurdistan region in promoting coexistence, noting that the Kurdistan region represents a role model in upholding the values of human brotherhood, expressing the appreciation of the Council of Muslim Elders for the humanitarian role played by the government and people of the Kurdistan region in what enhances Civil peace and coexistence.
