UAE Ambassador meets the Romanian Prime Minister

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Saeed Al Matrooshi, UAE Ambassador to Romania met Florin Citu, the new Prime Minister of Romania, the meeting having been held at the government headquarters in the capital Bucharest.

On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador offered the Romanian Prime Minister an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to participate in the launch of the Expo 2020 Dubai, which will take place in October 2021.

H.E. Dr. Al Matrooshi conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to the Romanian people for further development and prosperity.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways of reinforcing the overall cooperation between the UAE and Romania, including the areas of economy, commerce and investment. They also exchanged views on how to support the activities of the "UAE-Romanian Joint Committee," which will meet in September in Abu Dhabi.

As far as the preparations for the expo are concerned, H.E. the Ambassador emphasized the fact that the UAE has pioneering experience in holding successful economic, commercial and investments events, adding that the Expo 2020 Dubai will be a great opportunity to gather Emirati and Romanian companies interested in exploring investment opportunities in both countries.

For his part, the Romanian Prime Minister expressed his thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the invitation and lauded the profound friendship between the UAE and Romania, underscored by their distinguished cooperation and coordination. He also wished the friendly people of the UAE prosperity. Florin Citu also commended on the efforts made by H.E. The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Romania, which aim at developing the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.
