HE Ahmed Hatem Almenhali, Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Serbia, attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II, at the Ice Hall "Pionir" in Belgrade, supporting the United Arab Emirates national team at the tournament.
The Ambassador extended a warm welcome to the players of the UAE National Ice Hockey Team, expressing the pride and satisfaction for their participation in this championship and sending them words of encouragement and praise.
On this occasion, H.E. Almenhali emphasized the important role of the UAE Hockey Federation in promoting the value of sports and healthy and sustainable living to all people but particularly to the youth. He also stressed the importance of raising the UAE flag at international sports events and underlined the efforts of both countries in strengthening sports, cultural and tourism cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Serbia.
